I read some where that the 2.7 and 3.0 Liter Ego Boost have a Nano engine but have dual fuel management systems to help fight intake value carbon build up.

But Ford announced new Mustang engines 2.3 or 5.0 Liters engines will have dual DI/PI systems.

Since I an concerned of the longevity of my 2.3L MY2022 and reported carbon buildup due to injectors not cleaning backs of intake values. Some videos show how say 100,000 mile 2.3L have issues that require removal of intake system and manually cleaning.

There is no report retro fit to our Bronco 2.3L engines who work hard on and off road. Any help besides taking air intake off and spraying a value cleaner after MAS every 10,000 miles. My dealer does not provide this in a 10,000 oil change. Catch cans can help, but another cleaning part.

Here some info look correct on 2.7 L Ego Boost:

The Second Generation of the 2.7L EcoBoost Engine
Ford introduced the 2018 model year Ford F-150 with the second-generation 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine. The upgraded engine got several changes similar to the second-gen 3.5 EcoBoost. Here are the most important changes: the direct injection combined with port injection,

Ford Authority has posted this on 2.3L:

Many car makers are updating GDI engines to dual port injection or by adding low psi injectors to the intake. The shift to dual port is a step up effort to reduce low-speed preignition(LSPI) by using port injection, then shifting to direct injection at higher rpm/boost situations. This method of fuel delivery is resolving many of the issues early GDI engines had with oil dilution, LSPI, intake valve buildup etc.

Ford has started updating their GDI engines with dual port injection, but sadly the 2.3L has not received this update. " Yet😣

Any comments! Tell Ford we want some retro system to avoid intake carbon build up besides catch can! Some reported the PCV values were updated to help. Anyone know the truth?

Yah certainly a concern. A lot of folks that bought the 2.3 to save a couple of bucks are in for a very expensive maintenance service bill in their future.
The other thing is this tends to be a chronic issue that worsens overtime. The engine performance slowly degrades. Power, mileage and drive-ability all suffer.

If I had a 2.3, I would probably invest in an oil separator. Even if it doesn't completely cure the problem, it will definitely help. I believe @Speed Devil has one on his Bronco and has shown pictures of the oil discharge.

Is this the 2.3 that is built in Cleveland or in Mexico? I bet the dual port is MEXICO... which makes sense they know how to.make things last!!

The Problem is the 2.3l May or may not be made in Mexico and we all know it is against their regulations to do port injection, after they passed the Direct Injection legislation.
I will just add a Catch can, do the most I can to help. but I do have a GDI engine with 357k so they cant be all bad.

My previous vehicle was a KIA with a GDI engine. They actually recommend cleaning with one of the post MAF kits every 7500 miles. Been wondering if I should do the same on the 2.3. Won’t completely solve the carbon issue but should help reduce the buildup.

In a previous post Frank mentioned 100000 miles, if it's 100k I wouldn't worry about it too much

I have an oil separator on my 2020 Ranger w/2.3L and get about a tablespoon out of it every couple thousand miles if I use low grade fuel and remote start it a lot and let it idle. That is cut in half using 93 octane and half again if I don't remote start . I strickly use 93 now and hardly ever let it sit idling during the summer so I barely get anything out of it.

Interesting. I wouldn't think fuel would have much to do about it and not sure about idling either.
Apparently it does make a difference though.

Not gonna lie , I haven't a clue about those things . That's just been my observation . I check it every 1000 miles and pour it into a bottle when there is enough to keep track of it an observe the contents after it settles . I use remote start a lot during the winter and it sits idling while warming up .

Shoulda mentioned my name thrice, would have been fun.

Yeah, it's like a shot of expresso every 2-3k miles, helps to have it, woulda been recirculated through the intake
